Giving some "BUZZ-LOVE"!

For the past few months I have been privileged to belong to a very unique community - at the time it was in beta - and one had to be invited to join. I wangled an invitation, because I was curious to see if this would be 'different' as they said.
And oh, boy, are they! I created my page, and started wandering around - immediately I noticed these people here are a very different crowd than one finds immediately on places like MySpace or FaceBook. I have pages at both, and both were a huge disappointment. But, the 'Buzz is organized differently - you find the fascinating folk behind the pages by checking out the subject content! This was great! This IS different!

I found artists and amazing art....and read about them and how they create. I wandered in the Books/Writers area...and was stunned at the variety of subjects, the range of interests, and the way their blogs just invite you to read. Checked out my own 'community' of interest - Crafting - and found an incredible array of creative endeavors, and the blogs that show not only what they do, but how and why! There's so much more! Sports, Electronics, Politics, Religion....you name it, it's probably there - and if it's not, they'll create it if you want to take it on!

The 'Antman' - the somewhat mysterious moving force behind the whole 'buzz thing is always busy, going around, spreading a little 'buzz-love' and finding out what we're all concerned about - and then....can you believe it? He ( or they) DO something about it! Got a problem? The Antman and his troops are on it! Want a new feature? The Antman listens!

The most amazing thing about the entire site goes beyond the range and the quality of all the subjects, and all the wonderful people I have met that write about all of them - it is that at the 'Buzz, people PARTICIPATE!! What a concept! We all are involved....might even call it an addiction....we go around, reading what others have to say....we comment, we rate it....and what fun to see others doing the same, and the good stuff just comes to the top! It really, truly IS a community, and it puts all the other "social networking" sites to shame!
